Artificial intelligence

AI explores and develops complex tasks such as speech and image recognition or natural language processing. Digital devices based on AI are supposed to act and react as similar to humans as possible.

AI is widely used in social media and online communications. It can make human intervention unnecessary. A major advantage of AI applications is that they can work and make decisions independently. Machine learning plays an important role in this: equipment is programmed to learn from its mistakes and improve its performance independently based on as much data and sensors as possible.

AI has great benefits and potential. Recognising patterns in image and sound while independently taking action on them can improve efficiency in many areas of work. For example, by recognising images and sounds on the road, a self-driving car might soon be able to move through traffic with fewer and fewer mistakes, and without the need for a driver. AI attempts to replicate, and even improve upon, the human ability to think. In the case of self-driving cars, the goal of this is to remove the chance for human errors and therefore make the world safer. AI is also being used in healthcare, the military and aerospace: increasingly complex operations can be performed perfectly and without fatigue.

Why invest in artificial intelligence ETFs?

Investing in AI is interesting because this field has the potential to expand greatly. Currently, AI is still in its infancy. With ever-larger data sets and computing power, complex human intelligence will be able to be mimicked more and more closely.
