The Connectivity Fee is a small yearly charge that applies when you trade on any exchange outside your home exchange, or when you trade ETFs on exchanges other than Tradegate.
Opening a new position on one of these exchanges will result in the fee being charged at the beginning of the next month. The amount depends on the size of your position on that exchange.
We charge either a small percentage of your account value or a maximum of €2.50 per exchange per year, whichever is lower. For full details, please check our Fee Schedule.
Example
Let’s say your account value is €5,000, and you’ve traded on several exchanges:
| Exchange | Annual fee |
|---|---|
| Irish Stock Exchange | €0.00 |
| Euronext Amsterdam | €2.50 |
| NYSE | €2.50 |
| Hong Kong Stock Exchange | €2.50 |
Total Connectivity Fees for the year: 3 × €2.50 = €7.50
When will you be charged
- January each year:
You’ll be charged for all exchanges where you currently hold positions outside your home exchange.
- During the year:
If you open a new position on an exchange you haven’t traded on before, the fee will be charged the following month.
If you increase your position during the year, additional fees may apply (up to the annual maximum). These are also charged the following month.
Important notes
- US options and futures:
A €5.00 monthly connectivity fee applies when trading or holding any US options or futures, regardless of position size.
More details can be found here.
- ETFs on Tradegate:
No connectivity fee applies if you only trade ETFs on Tradegate.
(The fee still applies for other asset classes on Tradegate.)
