Can I switch my account back to Basic after changing it to Active or Trader?

If you no longer wish to use the services of an Active, Trader or Day Trader account and would like to switch your account type back to Basic, please first ensure that you:

• Don't hold a negative cash position in any currency on your account. Your cash balance in your base currency is visible in the top figures in your trading platform. If you hold any negative cash in a foreign currency, this will show in your portfolio.
• Don't hold positions in any derivatives in your portfolio (leveraged products are allowed).
• Don't hold open short positions.
• Don't have an active allocation.
• Acknowledge that after the switch, you'll no longer be able to activate an Active, Trader or Day Trader account.

Once the above conditions are met, please request the change by e-mailing clients@degiro.ie. Please include your username of the account. Keep in mind that we can only process your request if it is sent from your registered e-mail address.
