Keeping your investments and money safeguarded is our top priority. For your investments, we use a separate legal entity called a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to separate your assets from ours. This entity's sole purpose is to administer and hold investments on your behalf, meaning you will always be the beneficial owner. By law, this entity is not allowed to engage in any commercial activities. If something ever happens to our company, for example, we enter into a state of insolvency or experience bankruptcy, your investments will remain in the SPV and will not be recoverable by creditors.
And for your money, flatexDEGIRO Bank SE is part of the German Deposit Guarantee Scheme. For our clients, this means that money deposited in a Cash Account with flatexDEGIRO Bank SE is protected up to €100,000 per customer.
