Only pay for what you use
We charge a Connectivity Fee to set up trading opportunities outside of your home market. This is to provide access to many exchanges. If you only trade on your home market, you'll never pay this fee. If you trade or you have positions on markets different than your home market, you'll pay it once a year for each exchange on which you trade or hold positions outside your home exchange.
For the Connectivity Fee, you pay a percentage of 0.25% of your account value, with a maximum charge of €2.50 per calendar year for each exchange you trade on, excluding Euronext Dublin.
Note: A Connectivity Fee of €5.00 per calendar month will be applied for US options and US futures. This fee will be charged for trading and holding (regardless of the size) of positions at this market.
Example
Your account value is €5,000 and you have carried out trades on Euronext Dublin, the London Stock Exchange and Euronext Derivatives. You also hold positions on the New York Stock Exchange and Euronext Dublin. Here's how much you'll pay in Connectivity Fees for the year.
Euronext Dublin
€0.00 (positions and transactions for home market)
London Stock Exchange
€2.50 (transactions)
Euronext Derivatives
€2.50 (transactions)
New York Stock Exchange
€2.50 (positions)
Total Connectivity Fees for the year
3 x €2.50 = €7.50
Currency, connectivity or external product & spread costs may apply. A handling fee of €1 applies for all products except for Tradegate (stocks), BNP and SocGen leveraged products and warrants, options and futures (excl. OMX Nordics) and crypto.
PTM (Panel on Takeovers & Mergers) Levy, Government Stamp Duty or Stamp Duty Reserve Tax (0.5% on purchases of UK shares and 1.00% on the purchase of Irish shares) is not included in any of the commission fees quoted. You do not pay Stamp Duty on AIM stocks or Exchange Traded Funds.
This fee overview page is based on the fees for a Regular (Basic, Active, Trader) and Custody (not loan) account. However, there are some differences between a Regular and Custody account, see Fee Schedule / Custody Fee Schedule.
When buying and selling, you must also take into account the differences between bid and offer price, also known as the spread. These are implicit costs and not direct broker costs. Product costs are included in the price and are not paid to us but to the issuer of the products. For example, ETF and fund issuers charge a total expense ratio (TER), and publishers of leveraged products charge a finance fee. You can find these charges, and other product-related information, in the Key Investor Information Document (KIID) / Key Investor Information Document (KID) in the platform after logging into your account when you go to a product's page and select the 'Documents' tab.
[2] We also offer the option to hold cash positions on a foreign currency account, for example, a dollar account, using Manual currency conversion. The fee for Manual FX is €10 + 0.25%. In this case, you pay currency exchange costs when transferring cash to and from your foreign currency account. But keep in mind this also exposes your cash positions to currency risk. Auto FX is the standard option we use (this is a common-used industry standard) for automatic conversion of cash related to trades and/or bookings in foreign currency-denominated products. If you want to activate a foreign currency account and Manual currency conversion, go to ‘Settings’ and then ‘Currency conversion’ after logging in to your account and checking the terms and conditions.
